Zach Hood finally released his new music video for his hit single, “never knew a heart could break itself.”
Since dropping his much anticipated single on March 18th, it has gained over 2.5 million streams on Spotify.
Today, Zach Hood released the official music video for the single. The video as a whole really encapsulates the idea of being broken by including various broken objects. Centered around Hood are broken lamps and throughout the video we see a broken mirror, an unmade bed, flickering lights, and a fuzzy TV which really set the scene and add to the theme of heartbreak.
Watch the Video:
You can see Hood in the video hitting his breaking point as he shatters lamps and throws down a chair. At the end we see Hood putting a piece of a shattered lamp into the shape of a heart. You can tell that Hood is passionate about what he does. From his videos to his lyrics, he is giving it his all. He works hard to make his lyrics relatable to Gen Z and obviously it’s resonating, you can see it in his success. Overall, the video fits very well with the theme of the song, from the lighting to the different angled shots.
With only nine singles out and over three million monthly listeners on Spotify, Zach Hood is definitely one to watch. Hood is only twenty years old and just started seriously making music in 2021. After making it big on TikTok, he launched his music career with his single “Flashbacks.” His sophomore single, “Isabelle” landed on Spotify’s Pop Rising, Rising US, US Viral 50, Global Viral 50, UK Viral 50 and Australia Viral 50. He is currently signed with Arista Records. He leaves to go on tour with Johnny Orlando tomorrow (April 22nd) to May 7th. Coming up in May of this year, Hood will perform at Hangout Fest in his home state of Alabama.
We can’t wait to see what Zach Hood puts out next!
