Remember the “Blank Space / Style “ mashup Taylor Swift raved about in late 2014? If you do, then you’ll remember the girl behind the mashup. California native Louisa Wendorff is more than just a cover star. Ever since her breakout success and recognition from Taylor Swift herself, Wendorff has been going places. In fact, it’s a shame that she’s an underrated artist because as far as we are concerned, she deserves to play on big stages in front of sold out crowds. She’s got the potential to do it, and we wouldn’t doubt if it happened anytime in the near future.
Wendorff has had a passion for music ever since she could remember. After dreaming for years, her passion for music led her to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont University for songwriting and music business. While in school, the singer/songwriter began writing and recording her first EP entitled Arrow. The EP was released in 2014 and soared to the No.2 spot on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts.
Ever since the release of her debut EP and the recognition of Swift, Wendorff has made an international presence. Her mashup has surpassed 40 million views, and was played during the beginning of Swift’s entire 1989 World Tour. Since Swift, the Las Angeles girl has made strides in her career and has been honing her craft since. She continues to release cover videos on YouTube, as well as demos on Soundcloud.
You can listen to Wendorff on a new mashup with pop artist Who is Fancy and is currently working on new original music. To learn more about Louisa check out louisawendorff.com
