- Emo kids unite! This week Blink-182 dropped a brand new track that could easily be a long lost feature on their 2001 album, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket. But the new track, titled “Bored To Death”, wasn’t the only thing the iconic pop-punk trio had to share this week. On Thursday it was announced that Blink was heading back on the road and bringing some familiar faces with them. The summer tour will feature A Day To Remember for the entirety of the dates while All American Rejects and All Time Low will rotate as support acts throughout the tour. Ticket sales begin May 6th.
In addition to a live show, Blink-182 will also be releasing their comeback album, California, on July 1st, which is available for pre-order now. - Another heartwarming comeback story this week comes from the collaboration between Kesha and Zedd. Following a surprise performance of “True Colors” at the first weekend of Coachella, Zedd released the full studio track this week. The duo was able to record together through Zedd’s contract with Interscope Records, giving Kesha some much deserved creative freedom in the midst of her ongoing legal battle with Dr. Luke. The song’s uplifting message is a clear homage to the fight the singer has been up against the last few months, and even her entire career. It’s a comeback that’s welcomed to hundreds and thousands of open arms. Listen to “True Colors” here.
- To wrap up the week, Drake released the his highly anticipated fourth album, Views. Following the success of “Hotline Bling”, Drake’s newest album reinforces that this man can really do no wrong. His one of a kind style continues to impress audiences and leads the artist to projected career record breaking sales. Featuring collaborations with Rihanna, Future, and PARTYNEXTDOOR, there is no shortage of variety within Views. Purchase the album on iTunes, here.
