We’re sure plenty of you have heard a lot of buzz about the show “Girls”, but not as much about the music behind the show. As an avid watcher every Sunday, we look forward to what music will be featured that episode as well. The show does a great job of featuring popular artists (Demi Lovato and Jay-Z), as well as some lesser known ones (Fleet Foxes and Belle & Sebastian). We think that speaks to the show as well. In your 20’s, you want to be cool and like that unique band, but you can’t help but like that catchy pop song on the radio as well.
Some tracks we recommend from the first season include “Dancing On My Own” by Robyn (Episode 3), “Montezuma” by Fleet Foxes (Episode 6), and “Girls” by Santigold (used throughout the episodes). To us, music can make or break a show, so a lot of thought goes into picking these tracks. Plus if you’re looking for some new artists, we highly recommend giving the soundtrack a listen!
