New York band Triathalon have shared a new single called “DOWN,” the second track to be released ahead of their forthcoming album Funeral Music. It’s a bedroom pop-inspired song that emulates the 2010s. Watch the official music video below.
“Everything really changed last minute before turning the album in when [drummer] Chad [Chilton] completely replaced the drums creating a new and refreshing change in tempo and overall feeling,” said band member Adam Intrator. “This altered the song as a whole and soon we decided to add an 80s metal distorted guitar tone over the whole song. It went from a very sleepy, casual demo to a very electric pop/rock anthem.”
Triathlon’s new record Funeral Music will mark the band’s first full-length album release since 2022. Pre-order a copy here.
