Yesterday, Maroon 5 took to Twitter to make it known that they had something big to announce at 9:00am EST the following day. The tweet included a link to a YouTube video, which was a mere 17 seconds long. In between shots of the band performing, a question shows up, “got shut out of the sold out arena tour?” before stressing that the announcement has nothing to do with April Fools’ Day, surprisingly enough. So, what did the boys have up their sleeves? A tour with special guest & American Idol alum, Kelly Clarkson, that’s what! Rozzi Crane, Tony Lucca and PJ Morton will each be opening for the pop superstars on select dates. The Honda Civic Tour, as it’s being called, kicks off August 1st in St. Louis running into October, where it will finish in San Diego, California.
