Yes, you read that right. The Weeknd is back on tour.

The tour was originally planned to begin in June and end in November 2020, but was postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, all of the dates has been officially pushed back and rescheduled to 2022, with the promise that concert going will be safe again.
For fans who bought tickets to his original 2020 dates, GREAT NEWS! Those tickets will still be valid for the new 2022 dates. So for those who planned to see him in August 2020 won’t have to break their bank about getting tickets for 2022.
It has been over a year since the release of his After Hours album, but the buzz never stopped. The album went on to become the fourth best selling album of 2020, moving 2.032 million album-equivalent units.
The hit single “Blinding Lights” continues to be heard worldwide. It broke records for time spent on the Billboard Hot 100, spending an incredible 47 weeks in the Top 10 and 37 weeks in the Top 5.
In anticipation of the new tour dates, The Weeknd will also be dropping a compilation album, The Highlights, this Friday, February 5th. The album is a collection of the artist’s most notable and favorited songs. You can pre-save the album here.
Can’t wait for 2022? Then you can tune in this Sunday on the CBS coverage of this year’s Super Bowl, where The Weeknd will be headlining and performing during the halftime show. It is historically one of the biggest gigs for artists, with a massive audience both in attendance and at home (although the former will see lower numbers due to COVID).
Past halftime performers have brought on surprise guests to perform alongside them. Who could show up this year? Check out our predictions here.
Tickets will be going on sale on Monday, February 8th at 10 AM local time. Fans can buy their tickets on artist’s website.
