It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from Taylor Swift. Others talk about her, tweet at her and adore her but the most popular Pop Star in the world has been on hiatus until Saturday (October 22) that is. Swift played her only show of 2016 at the Formula One U.S. Grand Prix in front of 100,000 adoring fans for the first time in a year after the race on Saturday night in Austin, Texas.
The Grammy winner tore through several number one hits – but the cherry on top may have been a stripped down version of ‘This Is What We Came For’, the song she co-wrote with then boyfriend Calvin Harris. “As a songwriter, the most rewarding feeling in the world is writing something and having a crowd sing it back to you because you know the words,” Taylor told the audience, which she had encouraged to join her at every turn. “I never played this song live before, but you know it. Maybe you can sing along.”

But this was just one of many reasons why Swifties across the globe are freaking out. Many more milestones are taking place. For starters, the fourth anniversary of RED is today (October 22), the 10th anniversary of her self-titled debut album is Monday the 24th, the sixth anniversary for Speak Now is Tuesday and Thursday is 1989’s second birthday. Fearless also turns 8 on Nov. 11. It’s been a momentous season for Swift, and many of her adoring fans have been hoping that the queen herself would drop a new album to celebrate such milestones.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t any sort of announcement for album 6 but that didn’t stop Taylor and her fans from having fun and live tweeting from the show so others, who couldn’t be there could enjoy it as well.
From what it sounds like, it was a night to remember, and it does seem like there is more to come from Swift. She’s back in action and she isn’t going anywhere. It doesn’t matter who is trying to stop her, nothing can stop the queen of pop and the force of adoring fans from taking over the world.
