Including its original 14 tracks, CTRL (Deluxe) brings us seven new songs: “Love Galore (Alt Version),” “2AM,” “Miles,” “Percolator,” Tread Carefully,” “Awkward” and “Jodie.”
CTRL, originally released in 2017 under Top Dawg Entertainment, was nominated for five Grammys. This made SZA the most nominated woman that year. She combines raw R&B, fearlessness and vulnerability to make a timeless set of artwork for many to love. Her songwriting displays her personal experiences of her romantic life including the ugly side of things. This type of transparency accumulated the album a grand following, of course. The seven new tracks add a beautiful continuation to an already magnificent album. Since its release, CTRL has spent the past five years on Billboard 200 and is not leaving anytime soon.
Since the release of her debut album, SZA has also released top-charting singles including – “Hit Different,” “Good Days” and “I Hate U.” As stans of all of her past projects and features, we cannot wait to see what SZA is bringing us in the future.
We are so excited to spend the summer and the rest of our lives listening to the deluxe version of this iconic release and its alluring new offerings.
