Sleeping with Sirens rocked their fanbase with three major announcements Wednesday morning by releasing a new single, promising an album set for an October drop and gearing up for a U.S. tour starting in July.
The single “Crosses” clocks in at just over four minutes long and features a vocal performance from fellow metalcore band Underoath’s lead singer Spencer Chamberlain. A music video was released alongside the track.
“I think ‘Crosses’ is a great opening single for our new album,” lead singer Kellin Quinn said in a release. “The song to me is about not putting yourself above anyone. I think we’re all just trying our best and we can lift each other up! In a world where everyone pretends to be perfect, I think this song is letting everyone know that we all struggle and we can all rise above it! ”
“Crosses” is the first tune the band has dropped as part of its promotion for their upcoming album Complete Collapse which is scheduled for an October 14 release on Sumerian Records.
Complete Collapse will be the band’s seventh overall record and first full-length release since 2019’s How It Feels to Be Lost.
The Grand Rapids by way of Orlando quintet didn’t stop breaking news there. They announced the summer Ctrl + Alt + Del Tour beginning in mid-July with British rockers Don Broco, indie-pop group Point North and Kellin Quinn collaborator Garzi.
