Smallpools jumps back into music scene with announcement of album release and tour.
Since 2013, Smallpools has been a prime example of indie pop. Though they only have one full track album, they have put out a handful of EPs and singles. The band announced earlier this week that their second full length album, Life In A Simulation, will be released in October.
Not only did they announce their album, but they also announced the “Life In A Simulation” tour with special guest morgxn. The tour will begin in Atlanta on November 1st. The last time they went on tour was late 2019 when they opened for Third Eye Blind. In 2020, they were in the lineup for the Human to Human Facebook Live Festival in April.
Some of the singles they put out in 2020 were “cycle,” “slowdown,” “simulation,” “science fiction.” These are all expected to be on the new album.
Smallpools is a Los Angeles-based band that was formed in 2013. That same year, their debut single “Dreaming” topped the charts on The Hype Machine. Not long after, they dropped their first self-titled EP. Their first full length album, Lovetap!, was released in 2015. They have gone on tour with bands such as Grouplove, Neon Trees, Misterwives and many more.
The tickets for Smallpool’s “Life In A Simulation” tour go on sale May 28th. You can get your tickets here. The official release date for the Life In A Simulation full length album is October 15th.
We’re eagerly awaiting this album and are excited for them to get back to performing live!
