Sabrina Carpenter relives the storyline of her new single “Why” in new music video.
Fans have been waiting anxiously for the music video of “Why” ever since Carpenter began to tease it. And now that’s it out, we are glad to say that it was worth the wait.
The video stars Riverdale actor Casey Scott, who plays her love interest. The video effortlessly showcases what it looks like when opposites attract. It starts with a narrative as Scott explains why he and Carpenter truly belong together. After the explanation, the song chimes in and narrates the storyline in perfect fashion.
Carpenter is a photographer in the video, while Scott is the complete opposite. But isn’t that what we love about the song? But it’s not over once the song ends. Carpenter leaves the building, walking out on her lover and moments after, she looks back at the camera smiling. Did Scott run after her? We suppose it’s for you to decide.
The video is by far the most mature one Carpenter has done in her career and, in our opinion, the best one yet. Watch the video below and let us know what you think.
