UK indie pop singer-songwriter Rex Orange County shared a new song, “Pluto Projector,” with fans this morning. The song dropped just ahead of the release of his third album Pony, which is set to drop next Friday via Sony Music Entertainment. “Pluto Projector” is the second song he’s shared from Pony, it followed “10/10” which he performed on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last week.
The release of “Pluto Projector” is exactly what Rex Orange County fans needed going into his next album cycle. The song is an emotional ballad fully equipped with raw vocals, simple guitars and pianos, and a full choir. It’s sure to be a new fan favorite.
Pony is the follow up to his incredible successful sophomore album Apricot Princess, which earned him the #6 spot on the Billboard US Top Alternative Album Sales chart and #2 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Chart.
Following the release of Pony next week, Rex Orange County will be embarking on a massive North American tour at the top of 2020. The tour kicks off on January 10th with two stops at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA, and includes stops in Chicago, Toronto, Washington, New York, and more.
