With just over two months until the big day on April 22nd, Record Store Day has just released the full list of exclusive releases for this year’s celebration. Since 2008, Record Store Day has sent music lovers and record collectors across the world to their local record stores with the hopes of snatching special vinyl, cassettes, CDs, or other music media. This year’s Record Store Day – fronted by ambassadors Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires – includes hundreds of special releases including artists ranging from Pearl Jam to Dolly Parton to Peppa Pig that will be sure to please music lovers across the board.
Perhaps the most notable item on this year’s list is the first vinyl release of Taylor Swift’s folklore: the long pond studio sessions which will be released on grey double vinyl. The session shows Swift sing the entirety of her stellar 2020 album folklore in a wistful cabin alongside powerhouse co-producers Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner, and Justin Vernon.
The 1975 will release Live With The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra on clear double vinyl and cassette. Originally recorded in 2016, this release features a collection of ten songs from the band’s sophomore album recorded live in collaboration with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in Manchester.
Other notable releases for this year’s Record Store Day include Bella Donna Live 1981 from Stevie Nicks, a new EP titled Become from Beach House on crystal clear vinyl, Red, White and Bruised: The Midnight Live from The Midnight, Made You Look: God’s Son Live 2002 from Nas, and two releases from Bjork: the fossora remixes and Mount Wittenberg Orca (Expanded Edition) with Dirty Projectors.
All of the Record Store Day items can only be found in participating locations on April 22nd and cannot be purchased online. To see the full list of releases and participating locations, click here to be taken to the Record Store Day website for full details.
