“… a symbol of connection, joy, and creativity… a holistic experience which aids in positive community transformation and individual empowerment…” – Life Is Beautiful
Yesterday, Downtown Las Vegas opened up its street and gave a VERY warm welcome back to its 3-day music and arts festival, Life Is Beautiful. The first day of the sold-out event was filled with star-studded performances, hilarious stand-up, yummy eats (our favorite of the day being the vegan pulled pork taquitos), morning meditation, art, and more.
One of our favorite performances of the day was Teddy Swims at the intimate Toyota Music Den stage. Check out our conversation we got have with Teddy after his set here.
A quick break before more performances took us to the BACARDÍ Art Motel for refreshing drinks, dancing, and yard games. It’s safe to say a BACARDÍ Ready-to-drink Lime and Soda was much needed in the 90° weather…
More stellar performances were had on the Fremont Stage by Lost Frequencies, San Holo, and more. Between the EDM-dominated sets, Life Is Beautiful and Jammcard teamed up to host a public JammJam with Jacob Collier.
The high-energy performance, driven by some of the industry’s best musicians, was joined on stage with special surprise guests, JoJo and T-Pain.
Maybe the most “buzzing” stage of Day 1 was the BACARDÍ Stage. WILLOW, AKA Willow Smith, put on our favorite set of the evening. WILLOW opened her set with one of her latest hits featuring Travis Barker, “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l”. WILLOW later welcomed Tyler Cole to the stage to perform a handful of songs off of their album, THE ANXIETY, including the song taking TikTok by storm, “Meet Me At Our Spot”. WILLOW’s presence onstage was infectious and had the crowd dancing and moshing from beginning to end.
And to end the day and evening at the BACARDÍ Stage was the Queen of “Hot Girl Shit”, Megan Thee Stallion. Her set closed out the first day of the festival on an absolute confident high note with hits like “Savage” and “Body”.
Day 1 of Life Is Beautiful truly set the tone for what festival-goers can expect for the rest of the weekend.
Even though the festival is sold out, fans are encouraged to join the Official Ticket Exchange here to see if they can catch the last two days.
Life Is Beautiful is also being live-streamed on Twitch throughout the weekend so you can enjoy the festival wherever you’re at!
