Alternative-pop, singer-songwriter Jacqueline Loor carries her emotion through her music. Gaining respect from BuzzFeed and others, she continues to impact through her music and now, through her new track, “Don’t You Pretend.”

Before watching the video, read on get to know the singer, why she wrote the track and what made it an important track for her life.
1. Introduce yourself for our readers!
Thank you for having me. I am a singer-songwriter from Miami who writes original songs after every heartbreak and loss that comes my way. I took some time to find my voice in The Canary Islands while I was living there and now that I just got back to my hometown I’m ready to show the world what I got.
2. Describe your sound for someone who hasn’t heard it before.
My sound is definitely real, honest, emotional, and empowering.
3. What can you tell us about your track “Don’t You Pretend”?
I really used my vocal range to reach some beautiful high notes to get people to feel those chills and be moved by my song “Don’t You Pretend”. This song is all about how vulnerable someone feels when they are betrayed by someone they loved.
4. What about the video for the accompanying track?
I wanted the video to be honest and raw for the viewer can connect with the real me. It was definitely not an easy shoot because I felt really vulnerable filming it, but seeing how it turned out I couldn’t be happier. The build is really important, and the best part of the video is at the climax at 2:45.
5. What’s one thing you want our readers to take away from your new track?
It’s important to me to have people feel something with my music, something that helps them dig into emotions that they perhaps bury and don’t want to deal with. I think this video definitely brings all the feels, and perhaps even helps people move on stronger than before.
6. What’s next for you in 2020?
I have my first television interview on November 5th on Telemundo! Also, this song “Don’t You Pretend” is the first of a string of singles I’m about to release. The next song is already coming out on November 15th called “It’s Not on Me”. I then have another song coming out January 17th. I will be promoting each single heavily while at the same time getting in the studio to record even more singles coming out in 2020!
