Indie-rock band Gardens & Villa dropped a brand new single “Curious Sun” and we have had the pleasure to premiere it. Comprised of four members, Chris Lynch (vocals/guitar/flute), Dusty Ineman (drums), Shane McKillop (bass), Adam Rasmussen (keyboard/synth), Gardens & Villa are the perfect band to add to your new favorite artist playlist.
“Curious Sun” is the third single the foursome have released this year ahead of their fourth studio album Gordon Von Zilla set to drop August 14. Following their recent singles “Hurrah” and “Disco Kitchen,” their newest single gives the perfect combination of modern alternative and 70’s rock and roll groove, making you want to blast the tune with your windows down on a long empty road.
The band has been together since 2008, taking a break from 2015 to 2018, coming back together after the loss of their good friend and mentor Richard Swift to pay tribute for all he had done to help the band’s career since working together in 2010. After finding Swift’s old studio, they knew they had to get to work making music again with the feeling of the presence of their dear friend. Their upcoming album is a new awakening for the band and a reminder of the reason they started making music in the first place: to solely have joy in creating with friends.
“Curious Sun” is now available on Spotify and Apple Music.
