A good playlist can make or break an entire mood and an entire night. Whenever I’m getting ready to go to a show or even driving to a show, it’s an exciting time filled with anticipation and enthusiasm. I have such a varied music taste so this is a mixture of so many genres. Don’t shuffle this one!
I started out with some rock staples like Fall Out Boy, The Killers, The Strokes, and the White Stripes. It then shifts to more recent releases, like “title track” off of Machine Gun Kelly’s latest album. The whole album really is a catchy pop punk masterpiece. If you haven’t already seen the short film set to this album starring Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney and Machine Gun Kelly himself, run don’t walk!
All of the songs are upbeat and are guaranteed to inspire a sing along. Dua Lipa’s infectious “Don’t Start Now” and Jack Harlow’s viral TikTok “WHATS POPPIN” are two songs that have been stuck in my head lately even though I’m not a huge pop music listener. You may not have heard “Do You Feel Me” by Oliver Tree & Whethan, but it has been on repeat for me recently. There’s even a recent remix of Britney Spears’ classic “Toxic” thrown in towards the end of the playlist. I had to end it with one of my older favorite pump up songs, “Doses & Mimosas” by Cherub. Even though this track was released in 2014, the electro-pop anthem holds its own today.
I can’t wait to get back to going to shows and I know you can’t either. I hope you enjoy this playlist that always puts me in a great mood before going out, and maybe you’ll even find some new favorite sing-alongs!
