If this is the world that Pink Sweat$ is painting for us, then we want in!
Pink Sweat$ dropped the single and music video for “Heaven”, a song expressing the feelings of finding true love. This song is a sexy, slow jam that can put you in the mood, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
And the music video? It’s all pink everything. He takes us on a journey through his pink planet utopia, where everyone is happy and the rules of time is suspended. Time is either moving slow or standing still, slowly capturing the picture of peace and serenity.
It is a beautifully shot music video with stunning cinematography and direction by Dave Karp and Courtney Loo of Thrice Cooked. The visuals are reminiscent of such seen in the horror film, Midsommar, minus the horror of course. Through this, they painted a heavenly collage of joy and tranquility, perfectly aligning with the smooth Pink Sweat$ track.
“Heaven” comes just ahead of the release of Pink Sweat$’s debut album, Pink Planet, which he announced on social media is set to drop this Friday, February 12. This looks to be the first and only single off the upcoming album so the rest of the tracklist looks to be fresh material.
Last July, the R&B singer released an EP, The Prelude, a six-track project serving as the prequel to his album. The EP includes favorites such as “Icy”, “17” and one of his most popular hits, “At My Worst”, which garnered over 60 million views on YouTube. The song even caught the attention of R&B star, Kehlani, who lended her vocals on the duet remix version, which you can find on Spotify.
Along with the release of his album, the 28-year-old artist will also be hosting an interactive virtual concert that will be live streamed this Friday, 7 PM CST. The eConcert will allow fans to be seen, heard and even invited to join him on stage. So this is an interactive experience that nobody should miss. Catch his concert on his website!
Pink Sweat$ quickly rose to the music scene in 2018 when he dropped his debut single, “Honesty,” which quickly grabbed everyone’s attention, entering 10th on Spotify’s US Viral Chart. After that, he went on to release his first two EP’s, Volume 1 in 2018 and Volume 2 in 2019. With each music project, he continues to be one of the rising stars to look out for.
If The Prelude and “Heaven” is any indication of what Pink Planet will be, then we are in for an R&B album that will take us out of this world.
