Logan Henderson and Jake Miller brought The Wait For You Tour to The Foundry in Philadelphia on April 25th, 2019.
Opening the show were 19-year-old triplets, Just Seconds Apart who warmed up the crowd with their fun energy.
Henderson followed with a mix of old and new music, as well as covers of Kid Cud’s “Day ’N’ Night”, Dua Lipa’s “One Kiss”, and Tove Lo’s “Talking Body.” Fans were singing and dancing and that definitely didn’t stop for Jake Miller’s headlining set.
Miller entered the stage to the 20th Century Fox movie introduction song… what better way to get a crowd excited? Miller’s set included songs from throughout his career, catering to both longtime fans and newer fans with songs from his recently released EP “BASED ON A TRUE STORY.”
Older songs, which Miller referred to the “OG fans,” included “Dazed & Confused” and “Collide.” Slowing it down for a bit, Miller introduced “Palm Blvd” as a song he wrote about his parents and sister and remembering his roots on the street he grew up on in Florida. Miller told the crowd a story about his first ever arena show and how nervous he was, where he ended up writing “Selfish Girls” which is his mom’s favorite song. The most emotional song of the night was, “A Million Lives,” a song that opened Miller’s eyes to the power of music and how many fans connect to that song deeply. Encore songs included “Overnight” and “WAIT FOR YOU”.
