For a Sunday evening, New York City’s Irving Plaza is bustling. The lively crowd are here to catch Logan Henderson and Jake Miller‘s The Wait For You Tour bring joy to their hearts with their infectious pop songs.
Henderson’s set is a mix of covers and his own music, with the crowd being receptive to both types of songs. The front two rows seem to be true blue Logan Henderson fans, screaming along to every word, one fan even FaceTimed her friend into the concert.
Unfortunately, Henderson ran into some issues with his backing tracks during “Bite My Tongue” at the start of his set. But even with this setback, he didn’t seem phased, he pushed through the issue, and restarted the song with even more passion the second time round. Towards the end of the set, his backing tracks ran into issues again, so to remedy it, he brought out an acoustic guitar and finished his set in a more personal way. How Henderson handled his technical difficulties was a testament to how much of an industry pro he truly is. His set was full of energy and his own music made bigger waves than the more radio played songs he chose to cover.
After about a forty-five minute break our headliner, Jake Miller, took the stage. Miller’s set is filled with singles and deep-cuts off old records. His showmanship is incredible, and at the start of his set he even grabbed a fans phone to sing straight to the friend this fan had been FaceTiming throughout the whole gig. The sheer energy that emits from Miller is incredible and his smile never falters throughout his hour-long set. The crowd radiates love towards Miller throughout his set, and it’s honestly something that shouldn’t be missed.
