On April 19th, the communities surrounding & making up Fort Lauderdale, Florida had a special night as The Wait For You Tour’s own South Florida artist, Jake Miller, traveled down for a hometown show.
Logan Henderson set the tone for the rest of the night as he opened up the show with his high energy. The artist took over the stage making a great first impression on those new to his music and blowing away those already acquainted. Singing his newest songs “End of the World” & “Pull Me Deep,” Logan left the stage with some new fans in the crowd.
The show only went up in enthusiasm and energy as Jake Miller took the stage. With longtime fans, old friends, & family in the audience, you could only imagine how much pride and emotion was felt in the room. Starting the night off with songs from his new EP first, he performed “NIKES” & “LONDON LIGHTS,” which had from the start the crowd jumping and singing along. Miller also sang some older songs specifically “Palm Blvd” which he said was the most special when he sang it to his hometown crowd.
“I sing this song all over the country but it’s never as special as when I sing it to you guys,” he said. “I never want to forget where I’m from. My mom, my dad, my sister and my friends, and you guys.”
The show felt super intimate and it only got more intimate as Miller sang to his mom her favorite song, “Selfish Girls”
Ending the night with his latest single ”WAIT FOR YOU” Miller made sure to give his all into his performance. The love between the audience in the room and the singer was felt strongly as he engaged the audience throughout every second of every song.
Nothing but contagious smiles were seen throughout the night.
