The Regrettes may have already taken their How Do You Love tour overseas to Europe, but they stole our hearts in San Francisco at their tour stop at August Hall last month. The four-piece pop punk band have been on fire since the release of their debut album in 2017, and, based on this performance, won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
Both levels of the newly re-vamped venue were packed full of eager fans waiting for the band well before show time. By the time The Regrettes took the stage, the room was flooded with cheers. Kicking off the set with crowd favorites “California Friends” and “Come Through,” the band set the tone for the night with unabashed energy.
Lead singer Lydia Night buzzed with electricity throughout the concert. Literally jumping around the stage, Night maintained impressive vocal control and command of the crowd. Night may be the lead vocalist, but the young singer shared the stage with ease. This band has such genuine fun together onstage-it’s impossible to not share in their joy. In particular, “Hey Now” was a delight to witness. Although The Regrettes have likely played their most popular song at every live performance, they all brought as much enthusiasm to it as if it were their first time.
