For those of you who listen to the a lot of indie rock like The Strokes, we have a new band you’re bound to fall in love with. Irish band The Academic just finished singing indie bangers night after night with the Kooks. You may have already heard The Academic’s hit “Different” on alternative radio stations like Alt Nation. The Academic has the perfect blend of soaring melodies, hard hitting guitar riffs, and anthemic feelings to their songs. The band is a newer group only about 2 years old, but their live show was amazing. Captivating all of the crowd, they had everyone dancing. The Academic is a perfect soundtrack to a summer day.
