Australian multi-instrumentalist and genre-shifting artist Tash Sultana stopped by The Fillmore New Orleans on Wednesday as part of their headlining North American Tour 2023. Sultana dashed from instrument to instrument to mix elements of EDM, R&B and soul to excite the jam-packed New Orleans crowd.
Opening the set with “Mystik” and “Cigarettes,” Sultana went straight to their keyboard to mix electronic sounds to get the crowd involved. They put their talent on display by
playing the guitar, drums, saxophone and flute all in their first 15 minutes on stage. The multi-talented artist was all smiles as they fed off the crowd’s energy.
The 12-song setlist included hits from all points of Sultana’s discography. They performed fan-favorites such as “Jungle” and “Notion” from their 2016 breakout EP, Notion-EP. They also played songs from their 2023 release, Sugar-EP.
While the North American tour is nearly over, check out their website to see ticket info and updates for the final two weeks of shows.
