After releasing a new singles, STRFKR dropped a new album, Parallel Realms, on March 1st, launching their 2024 US tour along with a music video for “Together Forever”.
First coming on the scene in 2007, STRFKR has been creating mesmerizing dance pop with hits like ____ and ____. Their fan-base has stuck by their side religiously for over 15 years, now reaching the point where they’re introducing their children to their unshakeable melodies.
On April 11th the tour took them to the capital of Texas. Opening for them on their Austin stop was happy sad face and Ruth Radelet. Austin is only the sixth stop on a tour that goes until August 8th, hitting every major city across the US.
Personally, I had the pleasure of seeing STRFKR back in college in 2015, when they headlined a small tour and stopped in Eugene, OR. If I’m being honest, they sounded exactly the same as they did nine years ago! The energy is still there, they still play from their old albums and opened with my personal favorite, “While I’m Alive” from Miracle Mile. Complete with psychedelic backup dancers and their famous crowd surfing astronauts, this tour is not one to miss.
Make sure to catch one of their many US stops and listen to Parallel Realms. For more of the latest, make sure to read from Beyond the Stage.
