There is no better way to get in the Christmas spirit than to go see State Champs as they headline Cleveland’s annual Snowed In fest and that is exactly what we did this past weekend at the Agora Theater and Ballroom.
State Champs started their set with some heavy Christmas music which turned right into a set full of songs the whole crowd was waiting for. The boys had teased on social media they were rehearsing older songs for the few holiday shows they were playing this winter. They went far back in the catolog to play songs from “The Finer Things” and “Around the World and Back” that fans have not heard in years! The crowed screamed these deep cuts at the top of their lungs and it filled the venue with a beautiful sound.
Not only did they play songs from their first two albums, they went back to their first EP to play a song that their fans had been asking to hear for the past few years which got the crowd going! The real surprise is when they played their cover of “Stitches” by Shawn Mendes.
This show got us so excited to see what State Champs has for us in 2020. A new album? A few sick tours? We do not know but we do know that we can not wait!
