It does not matter the time or the day, Cleveland will always make sure to show State Champs all the love they can when the band comes to town. We were honored to have the chance to check out the first day of the “Kings of The New Age” Tour at the House of Blues in Cleveland in the beginning of November.
The energy around the venue on the day of a State Champs show is incredible. So many fans show up early and are so excited for their night to start. These people have spent the last few months listening to the opening bands and playing State Champs‘ new album on repeat to prepare for a night they will never forget.
There are so many questions that come to mind when you are attending the first day of a tour. What song will they open with? What does the merch look like? Will they play my favorite song? Thankfully, State Champs hit all the marks! They opened their set with “Just Sound” off their newest album which was just perfect. We were so excited to finally hear their latest single, “Act Like That”!
From new fans to the die-hards, there was something for everyone. They even played a mashup of songs from their first two full-length albums. That definitely gave everyone in the audience the rush they were hoping for!
