Brooklyn’s The Kitting Factory is filled with young smiling faces, and mostly hands marked with Xs, a rare sight to see at the buzzing Williamsburg venue. Tonight the young people of NYC have come out to catch Spencer Sutherland in the flesh, although he has two acts opening for him, his fans flocked to the venue early, a fair amount of them having purchased meet and greet tickets, and the rest wanting a shot at being as close to the stage as possible. The main opener for the night, a new signee to Atlantic, Justice Carradine, a once Vine star now singing sensation. The crowd is receptive to him and even know some of his songs. The green performer has impressive stage presence and his fashion sense screams pop-star in the making. While his set is short, the crowd is drawn in throughout his whole set. When he leaves the stage, the crowd doesn’t move from their spots, holding out hope to get the chance to be close to headlining act, Sutherland. After about 45 minutes, Sutherland takes the stage. He’s wearing a bedazzled jacket over his signature sweater look, and fans lose their minds straight away. His set is filled with energy, and his fans clearly love him with all their hearts. Sutherland‘s energy is that of a man who has sold out Madison Square Garden rather than playing to a few hundred in Brooklyn, but that goes to show how much of a showman he is. He gives his all to his fans, playing new and old favourites and his energy never faltering once throughout his whole set. Spencer Sutherland is an act to never be missed, you may not know who he is right now, but his music should be put on you radar ASAP so you can say you knew him when.
