Last Sunday, we were lucky enough to attend Self Help Fest in Philadelphia, PA. Specifically designed for fans by pop-punk group A Day To Remember, the festival aimed to create the sense of belonging and connection that music so often emits — and it succeeded. Amongst a few kicks in the head from crowd surfers and random “Bohemian Rhapsody” sing-a-longs started by the audience, we felt at home and surrounded by family. With impeccable performances from Microwave, Silverstein, Wage War (A+ guitar work!), and Underoath, and anti-hate speeches from Stray From The Path, it was impossible to avert our eyes. And let’s not forget the confetti cannon that opened A Day To Remember’s first song for the final set of the night.
