Last night, Sasha Sloan took the stage at Summer Stage in Central Park to kick off her summer run with Oh Wonder. Over the last year, Sloan has easily become one of the most well-known up and comers in the pop world. She was best known for her work as a song writer with artists like Camila Cabello, but last winter, she made her solo debt with the release of her songs “Ready Yet” and “Runaway”. Since then, she’s been growing quickly, especially since the release of her debut EP “Sad Girl” which was released this spring via RCA Records.
Sloan complimented Oh Wonder perfectly. While her songs are low-key & detail the pain & heartbreak following a failed relationship, her perfect vocals were a fantastic fit to kick off the evening. She played a collection of songs from her EP including “Fall”, “The Way It Was” and “Normal”. Her stage presence was calm and collected, which perfectly matched the mood her music gives off. Sloan’s performance vocally was flawless, perfectly emoting every word she sang.
Sasha Sloan is currently on a short run of tour dates with Oh Wonder, but will also be making some festival appearances through the rest of the summer. For more information on Sasha’s upcoming tour dates, head over to her website. Check out our photos from her set in New York City below!
