We had the chance to see Pale Waves last night in Pittsburgh, PA. This band, who only has one song on spotify, absolutely rocked through their 30 minute set on tour supporting The 1975. Pale Waves, whose newest single “There’s A Honey”, was produced by Matty Healy of The 1975, had the crowd dancing to songs that they have never even heard of before. The band’s darker goth appearance goes against their pop sound, giving it a vibe similar to The Cure. You can also see their influence from The 1975 when they perform, as their body motions almost mimic what you would see at a 1975 show.
Though, as much as we can compare the two, Pale Waves definitely has the power to stand alone on its own vibe. Sadly, if you want to listen to their music online, you won’t have much luck since their library is thin, but you can see photos from their set below!
