Concerts, and more excitingly festivals, are back.
It’s exhausting hearing about everyone talk about the long stretch it’s been without live music, but even more exhausting is going through that stretch and wondering if this would ever be possible again.
After postponing and honoring prior purchased tickets, San Francisco’s signature music festival Outside Lands was finally able to happen. The sold out festival attracted music lovers from all over, and everyone excitingly flooded the festival grounds on the first day of Halloween Weekend. Safely of course.
Using the Clear app, fans were able to upload their vaccination or negative testing status to provide ease of entry onto the grounds. With that peace of mind taken care of, people were free to enjoy Outside Lands and everything it had to offer.
Even with the past weekends stormy weather conditions, and the chilly San Franciscan fall air, nothing deterred attendees from dressing in typical festival attire. And with it being Halloween weekend, some scattered costumes were seen sprinkled throughout the crowd with more expected as we neared the final festival day on Halloween itself.
The music. Not much has to be said about the music itself. Outside Lands caters to a variety of music tastes, with a wide range of artists covering every genre. With big names and artists on the rise, fans took to the Outside Lands Smartphone app to carefully craft their personal schedules and plan out their day.
With many incredible artists performing at the same time, some attendees even had to gameplan and run between sets to maximize and optimize their Outside Lands experience. Others, opting to camp out all day at the barricade of a stage to see a special artist they adore like Tyler, the Creator. Or, others choosing to wait all day to see a once in a lifetime act like The Strokes perform a medley of tracks throughout their discography that music lovers grew up listening to.
Whatever adventure attendees chose, it truly was just that. Outside Lands is something special, and holding the festival on Halloween weekend makes it even more so.
