Last night, up-and-coming alt-pop singer Morgan Saint delivered a fabulous hometown show to a sold out crowd at Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Saint is currently supporting LovelyTheBand on the tail end of their Broken Like Me tour, and her light performance was an interesting and welcoming contrast to the other bands on the bill. Her ethereal vocals rang through the venue, immediately putting her on the crowd’s radar as an artist to watch. The performance was airy and simple, providing a nice contrast to the beat-driven nature of her songs.
Saint played a variety of songs from her two EP’s 17 HERO and ALIEN, and the crowd loved every song more then the last. By the time Saint closed out her set with “New Regime,” which had the crowd screaming the words “we don’t need nobody else” right back at Saint with so much love. By the time she left the stage, it was made very clear to those in attendance that Saint has a bright future ahead of her.
