Frontman of Say Anything, Max Bemis took his solo tour and side project Perma to Los Angeles’ famous Troubadour the other night. Bemis, who played as part of his band Say Anything until this year, has embarked on this tour after a long letter about Say Anything’s break, not break up. Needless to say the room was filled with Say Anything fans who were treated to a great intimate show. The set started out with just Bemis and guitar on stage playing Say Anything songs until wife Sherri DuPree joined him to play songs from their project Perma. Of course what seemed to be many fan favorites of the show were off of Say Anything’s album …Is A Real Boy, including “Woe”, “Alive with the Glory of Love” and even “I Want to Know Your Plans” as an encore.
