After recently announcing their upcoming album Liquor, Lydia is currently on tour supporting the UK band Moose Blood on their 2018 U.S. Spring Tour.
Though the headlining act was Moose Blood, Portland’s Hawthorne Theatre was packed early and many were either fans or familiar of the band’s music. As supporters, their set was a condensed version of what a Lydia show is capable of, but gave the audience a taste of Lydia across each of their seven albums. Featuring unreleased songs from Liquor, including the lead single “Goodside”, their set went back to 2008’s Illuminate. The Hawthorne erupted as the opening notes of “Hospital” and “This is Twice Now” were played. Their set may have been short, but it was incredibly powerful and had the crowd screaming for more. Portland is clearly full of Lydia fans eager for new music, and even more eager for a potential headlining tour following the release of Liquor.
