Despite it being a Thursday night, electronic-duo Louis the Child knows how to treat weekdays like the weekends. For one of Cuthbert Amphitheater’s final shows of the summer, they gave Eugene a night they won’t soon forget. Comprised of Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett, the duo is currently touring North America on their appropriately titled Euphoria Tour. Night after night, they combine their exuberant dance music with vibrant colors, jaw-dropping effects, and charisma that radiates far beyond the DJ table.
The crowd became hooked the second the duo took the stage. Their energetic set filled the outdoor amphitheater and beyond with tunes that beckoned you to dance and sing along. Songs like “Weekend” with Icona Pop, “Slow Down Love” with Chelsea Cutler, and “hate u cuz i don’t” with Bea Miller were definite standouts that show what the duo does best. The purely instrumental moments were incredibly impactful as well, as they clearly know how to not only translate their music into a live setting, but make it something even more fantastic. Overall, the show displayed the best of what electronic music has to offer, and we feel lucky to have seen it unfold. Check out some photos from the show below!
