Last Sunday, dream-pop band LANY brought their visually stunning tour to Irving Plaza in New York, NY to close out their three-night residency at the venue. The band is currently touring North America in support of their debut self-titled album, which was released in June 2017. LANY opened their set with “Dumb Stuff” which is the leading track on their album, and followed it up with fan favorites “4EVER!”, “Yea, Babe, No Way” and “Flowers On The Floor”. Throughout the show, LANY played a great array of songs from their album and all 3 of their EPs. Half-way through their set, lead singer Paul Klein sat center stage at his piano and played a mash-up of their songs “Pancakes”, “Current Location”, and Harry Styles’ hit song “Sign of The Times”, which the band recently covered for a Spotify session. It was a beautiful moment in the set that really proved to the crowd that LANY shows will always feel like home.
LANY’s North American tour is truly a visually stunning experience; the band has three screens set up behind them on stage that project beautiful images that pair perfectly with each song that they play. The rest of the production is fairly simple, but it compliments the band and visuals perfectly. The band is currently halfway through the North American leg of their tour.
