In recent years the UK rap and hip-hop scene has been taken to a whole new level, birthing new superstars from all over the British isles and the stylings of old have been brought back with a new modern twist and if you’re talking about some of those behind this movement it would be a crime not to mention the London born duo of Krept and Konan. The boys have done it all, from collaborating with some of the biggest UK names in the game, to producing a 5 star rated show at the London O2 arena back in December, further solidifying themselves in the history books as one of the greatest musical talents produced in the UK. After releasing their second studio album Revenge Is Sweet in November they swiftly announced a major tour throughout the UK and we were treated to as show stopping performance in Manchester as they took over the Albert Hall for a night to remember…
The energy on the night was unprecedented, the diehard fans ate up every word from the duo as they partied the night away with such shear force we thought this old classical venue wouldn’t be able to handle the carnage! It had everything you could ever want for a show to kickoff the new year, there were pyrotechnics galore, incredible tour visuals and if you pair that with the amazing discography from Krept and Konan you’ve got one hell of a night! As the night went on the fans in attendance were treated to songs from both studio albums including the hard hitting turn up tunes “Freak of the week” and “Don’t waste my time” and in what was one of the most incredible things we’ve witnessed at this venue in a long long time, Krept flew into the sold-out crowd after a huge run-up and sent the mosh-pit into an absolute chaos! We strongly recommend listening to the amazing Revenge Is Sweet album and get down to a Krept and Konan show when they’re next in your town….
