On a warm, sunny evening, fans packed into Chicago’s United Center to see the artist that they’ve watched skyrocket into the spotlight. Twenty-one-year-old superstar Khalid drew thousands to the arena, all who were eager for the night ahead.
As fans packed into the general admission floor and filled the seats above, the energy in the arena was incredible, resulting in the full crowd singing “Old Town Road,” “Africa” and more. Prior to the headlining set, Clairo took the stage to thousands of screaming fans.
As Khalid took the stage, the crowd soared and the LED screens behind the singer lit up with incredible visuals to accompany the live performance. With strong vocals and a powerful persona on stage, Khalid was a strong performer and connected with the crowds multiple times. As he sang his latest tracks on stage, Khalid called out several fans in the crowd, even noting a few by name, letting them know how happy he was to see his fans having as much fun as he was. Several times, a massive smile accompanied the singer’s face, thanking the crowd for an incredible night. Khalid’s vocals were strong, no matter how much the singer danced along with those on stage, he still managed to sing across his incredible range. While the dancers aided the singer’s on-stage appearance, Khalid’s own stage presence was enough to capture the audience’s attention. Most importantly, he stayed genuinely himself on stage despite performing in front of tens of thousands. His true personality was shown throughout the night, carrying a genuine and authentic way of performing.
