The best part of Austin City Limits every year is arguably all the ACL Fest Late Night shows that C3 puts on in lieu of the massive festival. The lineups booked for these shows are always stacked, and it’s a great chance to catch bands up close and personal that you may not have gotten the chance to see otherwise.
The Mohawk is one of our favorite venues in Austin and was the perfect place to catch a sold out show from IDLES – and from the opening note of their set, the entire floor section was a relentless mosh pit for the entire duration of their show. Rightfully so, the rock band hailing from the UK has amassed quite a following with their talent, energy, ingenuity and socially conscious songwriting sensibilities. It’s hard to call out particular stand out moments of their set, especially given just how seamless they played together and the high octane performance they delivered. These guys know how to put on a hell of a show and it’ll be entirely too long until the next time we get to see them live again.
