On Tuesday, July 31st, 2018, fans packed into the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago, IL. The lights finally dimmed and the cheering became louder and louder as triple threat Hailee Steinfeld took the stage, flocked with a small group of incredibly talented dancers. With short pieces of choreography, a dance break down and a packed setlist, Steinfeld’s opening set for the Voicenotes tour was one to remember.
Wearing an outfit that shimmered in the pavilion light, Steinfeld shined on the stage as she sang a few of her radio singles. Halfway through the show, Steinfeld noted that the song she was about to perform hasn’t been released yet, noting that she’s had a lot of time to write while on tour with Charlie Puth.
The track was catchy, showcasing her vocal and writing abilities, which made the setlist that perfect amount of new and old. Including a speech about body positivity and empowerment in her set, Steinfeld left a lasting impression on fans both new and old.
As Steinfeld continues to tour through the United States on the Voicenotes tour, we can’t wait to see what’s next for her, whether it’s new merch, new music or a headlining tour of her own.
