Day two rolled in hot. Not only because of the Texas heat, but also to the unreal acts that were to perform that day. Austin natives Sweet Spirit and Wild Child started off the day. Sweet Spirit’s eccentric set and style drew in festival goers who were just arriving at the festival. Wild Child mesmerized the crowd with their hits like “Pillow Talk”. Their fans sang along to their catchy tunes.
After Wild Child, Moon Taxi took the stage. The energy that radiated from the Nashville band was contagious. The band played to dedicated fans as well as festival goers just passing by. Songs such as “Morocco” and “Two High” played throughout the festival grounds. Moon Taxi was the perfect band to ring in the evening.
To end the night were two astounding bands, Cage the Elephant and Weezer. Cage the Elephant’s set was full of craziness and energy. The front man, Matt Schultz, bounced around everywhere on the stage as well as in the crowd. Cage the Elephant’s set full of fans old and new, was simply amazing. To close out Float Fest, the legendary band Weezer took the stage. Starting with “My Name is Jonas”, Weezer played their hits as well as new songs. Weezer perfectly closed out the festival as well as rang out the summer.
