On the ninth stop of coheadliner tour with The Used, Coheed and Cambria played at St. Louis Music Park on a pleasantly cool evening on September 8th, 2021. After opening sets from Meet Me at the Altar and The Used, Coheed took the stage last to the chanting of the crowd.
Coheed and Cambria, rock band hailing from New York, paused between songs to share their gratitude and thank members of the crowd for coming out to see them, offering that they know the decision isn’t always an easy one in times like these. With at least one song from seven different albums on their setlist, they played a healthy mix of their discography sure to please both the die-hard Coheed fans in the crowd as well as the casual enthusiasts.
As the cool September night air set in songs like “Island” and “Devil in Jersey City” filled the newly constructed St. Louis Music Park, a wonderful change to the months it sat empty and waiting over the summer. Coheed & Cambria’s electric stage presence and dynamic setlist offered a warm welcome back to live rock music and a perfect end to the evening, something everyone in the crowd in St. Louis had dearly missed.
