A sold-out Milwaukee crowd was treated to a night of electronic soul and R&B as Cautious Clay stopped by on his Context Tour. Remi Wolf kicked things off with an incredibly entertaining and high-energy set that primed the crowd for the main act. Joshua Karpeh, also known as Cautious Clay, took the stage decorated with floor lamps, which flickered along with the music, along with his four-man band.
Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Karpeh, learned music production while studying at George Washington University, where he graduated with a degree in International Affairs. After working for two years as a real estate agent in New York, Karpeh decided to pursue music full time.
Equipped with an arsenal of instruments, Cautious Clay flexed his abilities as a musician as he cascaded between playing guitar, flute, and saxophone. His sizable 17-song set included many fan favorites, such as “Cold War”, “Joshua Tree”, and “Stolen Movements”, to the crowds delight.
