Last night, alt-pop rockstar Bishop Briggs took over Portland’s Crystal Ballroom with a show full of unrivaled energy, passion, and joy. Opening with the anthemic “White Flag”, Bishop’s energy and vocal talents were on full display from the second she hit the stage, to the second she left. Her larger than life, gospel-esque voice enthralled the crowd, as she sang songs from her debut album Church of Scars, as well as some previously released singles and an unreleased track. Despite the album being released on April 20th, just over a week before the show, the crowd still knew every word to every song, and passionately belted along with Bishop for the entirety of the show. When she wasn’t singing, Bishop took the time to praise Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds and the work he does for the LGBT+ community, and how she views him as a inspiration. She even announced that she would be accepting donations for GLAAD, a nonprofit that aims to make the world a better and more accepting place for the LGBT+ community. Electrifying and intense one minute, soft and ethereal the next, Bishop Briggs gave the Portland crowd a dynamic show they won’t soon forget. Check out some pics of the show below!
