The New Zealand-native queen “B” of synth-pop and RnB, BENEE, ended her HUGE world tour last week Thursday at The Novo in Los Angeles, CA. She was joined on stage by her opener, Dreamer Boy, as well as her 3-piece band consisting of Tia on guitar, Felix on drums, and Dylan on bass guitar.
The 22-year-old singer-songwriter burst onto the stage opening her set with “Make You Sick” off of her recent sophomore release, Lychee. The crowd matched BENEE‘s incredibly exuberant energy without issue as they moved and danced to hits, new and old, such as “Soaked”, “Glitter”, “Doesn’t Matter”, and the TikTok-viral song that exploded onto the scene, “Supalonely”.
Alongside all of the fun that was had during her set, BENEE made sure to take a moment and encourage her audience to register to vote with HeadCount – “a non-partisan organization that uses the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy.”
The night was a true celebration as BENEE, the band, and even Dreamer Boy at one point, danced and jumped across the stage to the music. The show closed with a shower of rainbow-colored confetti in honor of Pride Month and a very gracious BENEE.
Don’t worry, if you missed BENEE on tour, you can relive all of the best moments by watching the “BENEE World Tour Diaries”, here.
