A casual Monday night, the beginning of a work week for the average person. But this was no average Monday, and this was no average concert. This, was a party, with the party god himself, Andrew W.K. With an opening set from local band Barons, Andrew came out on stage to a crowd, crazier than any pit we’ve ever witnessed. Andrew W.K. was able to transform these average everyday music fans into complete party animals, letting everybody forget about the work week they will have to face in the morning. This is their escape.
Andrew played his 21 song set, drenched from sweat three songs in. After years of partying, this man still got it. Not only was he partying hard, but the crowd was absolutely insane. The energy at the Andrew W.K. show was for more intense than any rock or metal show to ever hit Mr. Smalls Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA. If you get the chance, we recommend you buy a ticket (or 5) to see Andrew W.K. You can see photos of his show below.
