It’s clear to anyone with eyes, ears, and a social media account that we are in the midst of another British invasion. (But who’s complaining?)
Of course, everyone knows about acts like One Direction and Cher Lloyd, but what about the underdogs? Olly Murs, the 28-year-old Essex native, is slowly but surely taking America by storm. Last year, he opened for One Direction on the North American leg of their “Up All Night” tour. Olly has had success in the UK after winning runner-up on the X-Factor UK in 2009. Since releasing his debut single “Please Don’t Let Me Go” in August of 2010, Murs has been working hard.
His new single “Troublemaker” featuring Flo Rida has been climbing the iTunes charts and is currently at number 22. The song itself is very much a representation of Olly’s style. This groovy, “Maroon 5-esque” song is upbeat, catchy and one of those songs you can’t help but dance along to. We’ve never been a fan of Flo Rida, but his part in the song really helps brings it all together. If you haven’t checked it out yet, we strongly recommend you do. And while you’re at it, check out some other of his stuff too!
