November 9th was a great night for Olivia O’Brien fans as the artist made her stop in Orlando for her Olivia O’Brien show tour. The tour which started the beginning of fall was the first time for many to attend a concert since the outbreak of Covid in 2019. With things picking up slowly with the start of tours & concerts, Safety from the virus may be a huge concern for many. Thankfully many artists, like Olivia, have taken precautions seriously asking that all attendees be required to show proof of vaccination for entry to all shows on their tours. Masks were also encouraged regardless of vaccination status.
Joining Olivia on her tour were two opening acts that go by the names UPSAHL & Drumaq. Starting off the night was Drumaq, a Canadian singer songwriter who was given the honor to set the mood for the night. From the beginning only high energy was channeled keeping fans alive. Along with singing Drumaq also expressed free dancing. The solo artist released his debut EP this year titled D.I.Y including a song that featured Miss Olivia O’Brien as well.
Following Drumaq’s set was UPSAHL. A Singer & Songwriter from Phoenix Arizona. With over 3 million Spotify monthly listeners UPSAHL who has gathered a greater platform after going viral on TikTok with her song “Drugs” featuring Two Feet. The song’s audio has been used in over 1.2 million videos. UPSAHL also got perform some of her other songs like “Lady Jesus” which is the total track for her recently released album this year.
Then just like that the night began it’s highlight for fans. Miss Olivia O’Brien appeared & it wasn’t just any introduction. The tour which is titled “The Olivia O’Brien Show” has a fun take on talk shows. Introducing Olivia as the host for the night & even including “commercials” before & during the show. The stage was even arranged to appear as the talk show set. Dressed in a bright yellow & orange body suit made Olivia the focal point on stage. We got to hear many of Olivia’s popular tracks like “Hate U Love U”, “Love Myself”, “Just Friends” & even her famous cover of Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” & for fans of her more other tracks from her 2019 album, “Was It Even Real?”. Whether seeing Olivia was their last show before the pandemic or their first show after 2 years. Olivia got to connect with fans who missed her & those she missed as well. We hope to continue to welcome Olivia to Orlando again soon.
